I am incredibly elated this week to come home from a highly motivational photography conference - with an award winning photograph! I spent two longs days soaking up insight and inspiration from some of the biggest wedding photographers. While I was there, I also entered their print competition. When I found out that my photograph had been chosen as the contest winner I was so excited. When I found out the images were judged by one of my personal photographic heroes, Joe Buissink (often called the world's best wedding photographer), I was ecstatic! Afterwords, I thanked Joe and let him know how much it meant to me to. Joe has a way of capturing moments in the most real and honest way, and for him to see and appreciate that in my image, was an honor.
